NEWSPOLL 52-48: RUDD VINDICATED | The Daily Bludge – Independent News
A good poll result for the government. News Corp and The Australian, in particular should be very embarrassed by their failing campaign against Labor. Also, the ABC is becoming more and more tabloid, picking up on the more sensationalist angle of Abbott “closing the gap” on Rudd as preferred Prime Minister. It’s the 2PP result that is the more important and worthy of highlighting.

V8 Supercar driver Mark Skaife calls for speed limit on Victorian freeways to be lifted to 140km/h | Courier Mail

Happy Refugee Week – The Stump
More hateful Liberal dirty tricks when it comes to asylum seekers. They really don’t mind the facts getting in the way of getting a few more redneck votes. The Liberals are utterly despicable and ill-named.

Vote Last Steve Fielding | Crikey
Definitely agree with this. Fielding is a shrill ninny who insists on having a disproportionate say on everything.
Abbott is Howard without pragmatism: MP
God, I hope the ALP retains office. A Liberal government with Tony Abbott as Prime Minister would be a social and economic disaster for Australia.
