Media Gripes

I don't want to sound like a pedant, but these these things have been irritating me when heard in the media lately.

1. People saying "in regard to".... I always thought it was "with regard to".
2. The Olympics were an event where there was great "comraderie" between the athletes. Isn't it "camaraderie"?
3. If I hear another traffic reporter tell me about the "Princess" Highway rather than the "Princes" I'll scream.
4. It's "Western Australia". There is no state called "West Australia". All the media is guilty here, even the venerable ABC.

That'll do for now... I've vented.
